UPVC, Composite & Wooden Door Repair

UPVC, Composite & Wooden Door Repair

Most door-lock failures don't need a new door — just a new mechanism. We repair locks on UPVC, composite and wooden doors: failed multipoints, snapped cylinders, broken handles and misalignment.

FAQ

UPVC, Composite & Wooden Door Repair questions answered.

  • My door will not lock — do I need a new door?

Almost certainly not. Most UPVC and composite door failures are mechanism failures — a snapped gearbox, a worn hook lock or a misaligned keep. We replace just the failed mechanism, usually for under £200, and the door is good for another 10 years.
  • Why does my key turn but the door not lock?

The internal gearbox of the multipoint has likely sheared. It is the most common UPVC and composite door failure. We carry replacements for Yale, Mila, Fuhr, Avocet and Maco multipoints on the van.
  • Do you repair wooden and composite doors as well as UPVC?

Yes. We repair and replace locks on UPVC, composite and wooden doors — multipoint mechanisms, euro cylinders, mortice locks, night latches, handles and rollers across all three.
  • Can you fix a sagging door?

Yes. A door that has dropped over time can usually be re-aligned by adjusting the door and the keep plates — often with no new parts needed. Twenty minutes for most doors.
